{Book Review} It's Not Me, It's You

Hiya, readers!

Have you read anything by Mhairi (pronounced Vah-Ree) McFarlane yet? If not, you need to add her to your list. I'm not kidding. She's that good. Let's talk about this one, shall we?

First off, let's take a look at the synopsis.

Delia Moss isn’t quite sure where she went wrong. When she proposed and discovered her boyfriend was sleeping with someone else – she thought it was her fault. When she realised life would never be the same again – she thought it was her fault. And when he wanted her back like nothing had changed – Delia started to wonder if perhaps she was not to blame…

From Newcastle to London and back again, with dodgy jobs, eccentric bosses and annoyingly handsome journalists thrown in, Delia must find out where her old self went – and if she can ever get her back.

My Review of It's Not Me, It's You

I loved every page of this book. It made me happy to read it. The character development was thorough, fresh, and unexpected. The romance was fun with that delicious progression from enemies to lovers. I’m sad to be finished with it but incredibly happy to add it to my home library to read again at a future date.

Note: She's one of the authors whose books I will snatch up and read without delay. What I love is that she explores some heavy themes with such a light touch. It's compassionate, witty, and moving. I love her! Honestly, her books are amazing!

You've got some reading to do. Off you pop!

xx
